Geographic Introduction

Lalmonirhat is a northern district of Bangladesh. There are five upazilas in this district. Lalmonirhat district is a vertical one so that there is another upazila. It is located at Lalmonirhat sadar upazila of five upazilas. The three rivers flowing through this upazila include the Teesta, Dharla and Ratnai river. Lalmonirhat Sadar Upazila's area is 255.54 sq km. Aditmari upazila of Kochbihar district and Lalmonirhat of India; kawnia upazila of Rangpur and Rajarhat upazila of Kurigram; Fulbarhi upazila and rajarhat upazilas of Kurigram and Aditmari upazila of Lalmonirhat and Gangachara upazila of Rangpur on the west.
